North-East India to get its first fully automated N95 manufacturing unit.

North-East India’s first fully automated N95 manufacturing unit in Guwahati, Assam is now producing masks amidst the current pandemic.  

The initiative to establish a the automated N95 manufacturing unit was taken by young entrepreneur Ravi Pasari of Assam Berry White Inc, with a vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.

The company is operated by 100% Local Skilled & Unskilled Labour. The unit is presently employing more than 30 people directly and more than 100 people indirectly on a regular basis, while generating employment during the pandemic.

They have also trained Local Unskilled workers to handle high end Automated Machines adding to their skill sets and are planning to train & develop more people into skilled operations in a few months.

Also, in a move to empower women the company has undertaken to give them equal employment opportunities, as well crucial roles to play in the day to day operations of the company.

With an Installed Capacity of 50,000 units a day, the vision and aim of the Company is to provide safer and cheaper N95 Masks with 6 Layers, for the people of Assam and the North East region.

In future, it has plans to launch colorful N95 fabric masks in the coming months and is eyeing exports to the other SAARC countries. Currently, the company is selling and marketing through their brand “LUIT’ and “USI-mask” to avoid spurious and counterfeit N95 Masks which have come into the market under various names.
